Adding a Second and Third Line to an Existing Stacked Bar/Line Cha
I have an existing stacked bar chart with the left Y-axis as the bar amounts
combined with a line with the line amounts displayed on the right Y-axis. I want to add 2 more lines to my chart. When I add them as new series I do not get anything displaying on my chart. The ranges are all okay. What am I doing wrong? |

Are the added series listed in the Source Data dialog Series tab? if so,
they may be plotted as the incorrect type or against the wrong axes. You can select a series even if it's somehow obscured by selecting another series and cycling through series using the up and down arrow keys. Once it's selected, a series can be moved between primary and secondary axes, and you can change its type. Another thing to check is whether you have numerical data in the source data range for the added series. If the added data is nonnumeric, Excel will not be able to plot them. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "billbrandi" wrote in message ... All of the series show in the dialog box; I have 3 series of data that are
formatted as a stacked bar chart, and three series that are formatted as line charts. Only one of the lines is showing-the other two are not. Do the data ranges for the lines that don't appear contain real numerical
data? Select a series. Use the up and down arrow keys to cycle among the series. Can the series that don't appear be selected in this way? - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "billbrandi" wrote in message ...
