Y axis
If I have a chart that i want to switch the left values and scales on the Y
axis with the one on the right is there an easy way to do this? |
Y axis
To swap primary and secondary Y axes, you need to have both primary and
secondary X axes, at least temporarily. Format the scale of each horizontal axis, checking Value Y Axis Crosses at Maximum for one, unchecking it for the other. Then if you needed to add it, remove the secondary category axis. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "TXDalessandros" wrote in message ... I have tried several times to update the scale of the primary which is
percentage of shipments type (ie 50-100%) and the secondary is amt of shipments in millions (ie 0-45) with data like this Total Ship Count 36,467,496 32,039,170 Automated 31,986,666 27,818,094 Vendor Manual 4,098,784 3,859,498 CFSC/Ops Manual 382,046 361,578 When I update the percentage scale it just reverts right back to the original value as if I had not changed it. Do you change the number, then check the box? The box says Auto, and
checking it lets Excel use whatever value it automatically calculates. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "TXDalessandros" wrote in message ... That helped. One more thing the display units is not opened up so I can
change that. How can I update it so I can change it to say millions? "Jon Peltier" wrote: Do you change the number, then check the box? I never use the display units. I use a number format that suppresses the
extra digits (put a comma at the end for each set of three zeros to omit), and add the appropriate text to the axis title. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "TXDalessandros" wrote in message ...
