Default how do I change the gray letters on the top and of an excel works.

I can't figure out how to change the gray letters on the top of a worksheet
to months. I could write them in cell #1, but then my dates would be off
since I am using the numbers on the left hand colum as dates.
Can ya help?
thanks, kendra

You can't create headings in the grey buttons at the top of a worksheet.
Ir may be better to type both your column and row headings on the sheet.
