Selecting multiple series in pivot chart

In Excel2007, I have a pivot bar chart with over 20 stacked series. I order
to change the look of the bars, I have to select them all first. I have not
found a way to select more than one series at a time and it makes changing
the shape style very cumbersome.

I have checked the current selection area and the selection pane to no
prevail.

Any clues?

You can only select one series at a time in any version of Excel.

OK, thanks.
Hopefully this will be considered for future releases.

In earlier releases, you could select one series, format it, then select the
next and use the F4 function key to apply the formatting to the newly
selected series. Using the arrow keys to cycle through the series, you could
format the whole chart, and the next chart, and the next, in a minimal
number of keystrokes. Excel 2007's new formatting dialog architecture has
eviscerated the F4 functionality. That's what I want them to bring back;
otherwise I feel completely ineffective in Excel. This is one main reason I
have not converted to 2007 for my important work.
