Adding % to Bar Chart
I have a bar chart for resource analysis and I want to add a % to the chart.
I calculate it in a cell. Is there anyway to add a textbox and put the value of a cell in it? |
Adding % to Bar Chart
You can add custom data labels based on worksheet calculations. Use one of
these utilities to create the labels: Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler, http://appspro.com/Utilities/ChartLabeler.htm John Walkenbach's Chart Tools, http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/files/charttools.htm - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Sash" wrote in message ... Adding % to Bar Chart
I tried both tools, but I'm not trying to change the label for a data series.
I want a simple text box that references a calculated field so that if the user changes number, the percentage will change on the chart as well. I tried adding a textbox and typing =E14, but that's exactly what appears in the box. "Jon Peltier" wrote: You can add custom data labels based on worksheet calculations. Adding % to Bar Chart
To add a textbox, select the chart area or plot area of the chart. Click in
the formula bar, type =, then click on the cell, and press Enter. Your link address will now include the worksheet, and it will be entered as a formula, not as text. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Sash" wrote in message ...
