5 Data Bars in each of 8 Columns
I'm a novice at charting. Intermediate Excel user otherwise. I'll try to
describe what I want to do. I want to chart values for eight currencies, so I want an eight column chart. From there it gets more complicated. What I want to do is standardize the currency values perhaps every 20 days, and on the charts I would then plot the variance from a zero line representing the standardized value. It gets worse. I would like to plot 5 data bars in each column, based on 5 different moving averages. Each data bar will be offset vertically from zero by a calculated value. The data will be updated every minute. The moving averages will be based on minutes. The 1st data bar in each column would be based on a three minute moving average, the 2nd, a 15m moving average, the 3rd a 45m moving average and so forth. So each minute, each of five data bars in each of eight columns would update, showing variance from the zero line. It's not the calculations I'm asking help on (yet), it's how to chart this. I'll have a simple table of the 40 values to be charted, the table to be updated each minute. An attempt to simplify the statement of what I want to chart: 1. A horizontal zero line 2. Five (color coded) data bars in a column showing five values offset vertically from the zero line 3. Eight columns of such values on one chart (color codes to be same for each column) 4. The values will change every minute, held in one table Grateful for any help, Andy |
