Charting in Excel 2007

In Excel 2003, a workbook held a multitude of charts intended for
publication to a SharePoint server. During the publishing process, each
chart could be designated to become a single-file web page (.mht). There
are multiple charts on each worksheet. There are many worksheets in the
workbook. Excel 2003 had a single concise process to publish all of the
120+ charts as a batch. In Excel 2007, this process stopped working.

Excel 2007 has a similar process for publishing. However, the charts no
longer appear as valid objects that can be published. The documentation
indicates that charts have changed, and are "now integrated with OfficeArt".
But the explanations stop there, offering no recourse. Web searches have
turned up other people with the same question, but there haven't been any
solutions, yet.

Currently, to achieve the same results as 2003, the chart is copied to a new
worksheet. Publish the worksheet. Repeat this manual process over 120
times. A quick two-minute process has been expanded into a prolonged,
manually-intensive operation. Have the changes in 2007 provided any new and
better methods of publishing each chart into a single file?

The old VB PublishObjects seems to have been removed. However, we're
ideally looking for a practice that any user can run, out of the box,
without adding VB code. But at this point, any means of accomplishing the
task will be welcome.

Thanks!
