I can't remove the Chart Area dotted lines around my charts.
I have 2 computers and work on an excel file on each. However, one has excel
2003 and the other has excel 2007. When I work on the file in 2007 and then try to view it in 2003, all the charts in the file get displayed with a dotted line around the outside and on the bottom right it says "Chart Area". I need to remove the dotted line and the Chart Area from being displayed... |

I can't reproduce your problem. What kind of charts are these? Embedded or
standalone chart sheets? What type? - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "JayDeVo" wrote in message ... They're stand alone chart sheets. I move the file from one laptop to the
other. The file has about 50 standalone charts and a whole bunch of data. Each chart had this show up. I just found to remove them - I click on the dotted line and modify the chart area by changing the line color to white. But this is just a short term fix since the line is still there, just white. The line is probably the chart area border. You can format the chart area to
have no border at all. I don't know why you had the dotted line border in the first place. When I tried it in 2007, I got a solid border. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "JayDeVo" wrote in message ...
