How do I create a chart from subtotals in Excel
 

I am trying to create a chart just picking up the subtotal figures, but it
seems to get confused and produces a nonsensical chart.

Did you create the subtotals using the subtotal function under data? That is
what I did and now I need to chart those subtotals. Did you discover a way?
