Excel chart with positive and negative values
I want to chart movements within a bank account. So want to show
positive values with negatives offsetting to get to a bank balance. I want to do this with either bars or areas rather than lines. For example in one month I want to show £1000 income with £700 expenditure giving net £300 with the £1000 positive and the £700 negative. Do you think thats possible? |
Excel chart with positive and negative values
You could try the chart type Stacked Bars or Stacked Area. You could choose
to put the +300 and -700 in your data sheet so only the 300 shows over the zero line. Or, you could plot both as + numbers and make 700 red and 300 black, for example. Which one is best would likely depend upon whether any of your data has you going net negative. " wrote: I want to chart movements within a bank account.
