I want to create a chart from data similar to the following example:
x1 x2 x3 total 1000 500 750 a 250 100 375 b 300 200 100 c 200 50 180 On the chart, I want the Y-axis to show the amount but the data label inside the chart to show the percentage each number is of the total (the top number) in its column. Possible? Difficult? Thanks. |

Hi,
You will have to calculate the percentage values your self and then you can link the datalabels to the results. Assuming your data is in the range A1:D5 and A2:A5 are the series you can enter this formula in E2 and copy across and down in order to. =B2/SUM($B2:$D2) You now need to link the data labels to the calculated percents. For this you can use a free addin. Either of these will do the job.
