Pivot Table - "data" part
Hi,
I have three columns (name, location, date of visit) and have put these into a PT. Name in row Location in column Date in data I need to x-ref people and the date they visited a particular site. Problem is that the date is asking for sum (or count or average or max etc..) and all I want to do is display the date. How can I just display the date for each entry without it trying to find the sum/avg/max etc... Thanks in advance. AW |
Pivot Table - "data" part
Sorry, I forgot to mention that a name may have visited a location on more
than one occasion and therefore I need to see each date they visited. Currently it is only showing one. When I select Min it shows the date of their first visit and when I select Max it shows their last visit date. I need to see all instances of when they visited each location. Thanks "ArcticWolf" wrote: Hi, I have three columns (name, location, date of visit) and have put these into a PT. Put another copy of Date in the Row area, below Name. In the data area, show Max of date. Then, you could hide the worksheet column that contains the date in the row area. Pivot Table - "data" part
Thanks for the reply Debra. This has worked and has helped me somewhat.
I now have two (or more) instances of where the same name (person) has visited a location on more than one occasion. When I select 'max of Date' it only shows me their last date of visit (if I do min, it shows me their first date of visit). Is it possible to view ALL the dates they have visited each location and not just either their 1st or last please? Thanks, AW "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: Put another copy of Date in the Row area, below Name. In the data area, show Max of date.
