how do i plot series in a stacked chart in excel
I'm trying to plot a series of stacked bar charts showing capacity each year
for 3 years for 5 people on a team. Each person 1 - 5 has their own bar showing 2008, 2009, 2010 one on top of the other and the percentage commitment per year. e.g. Person 1 - 5% capacity in 2008, 95% commitments (in probable and possible projects), 2009 showing 30% capacity, 20% probable 10% possible and 50% committed, etc. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated |

Hi,
Put person in 1st column every 3rd row. Year in 2nd column repeating 2008, 2009, 2010 for each person. Then a column for each section of the stack, Capacity Probable Possible Committed. You should populate the range A1:F16. Then create a stacked column on this range plotting series in columns. The x-axis will be years within Person and Capacity etc will be the series in the legend.
