For me, the best way to paste a chart from Excel 2007 into Word is to select the chart, choose Home | Paste | As Picture | Copy as Picture | etc., select an insertion point in Word, and Edit | Paste. Try the various Copy as Picture options to see which works best for you. - Mike http://www.MikeMiddleton.com "Vegas" wrote in message ... This seems like it should be simple!! Thank you, Mike, for that oh-so-simple resolution. Sometimes the upgrades
are enough to make me long to downgrade. =) "Mike Middleton" wrote: Vegas - For me, the best way to paste a chart from Excel 2007 into Word is to select the chart, choose Home | Paste | As Picture | Copy as Picture | etc., select an insertion point in Word, and Edit | Paste. In addition to Mike's suggestion, you should try to make the chart as close
to its finished state in Excel, particularly its size. The less you have to mess with it in Word or another app, the less trouble you will have with it. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Vegas" wrote in message ... Do you know how to 'see' the resolution of a chart in Excel? I figured out
how to 'compress' a chart, pasted as a picture, but the compression is reducing the resolution and the highest choice in Word is 220 dpi. thank you for any insight you can provide. I just want 300 dpi charts. In 2007 you don't need to copy a chart from Excel, just start in Word by
choosing Insert, Chart and when you pick a chart type and click OK you will be constructing the chart in Excel but it will placed in Word at full resolution, no copy and paste necessary.
