Trendline won't show as well

I've got a chart using two data series plotted on separate chart axis. I
need to show a trendline for each of the two data series. If I chart them on
the same axis, then the trendlines show up as expected. But I really need to
have the second data series plotted on a secondary axis. When I move it to
the secondary axis, the trendline disappears. It's still logged in the
legend, but just doesn't show up.

How do I get it to show up?

I just tried to reproduce your problem, and I can't.

Trendline won't show as well

Hi Stu,

I had the same problem yesterday, and found a thread dated 6/6/2006 that
solved my problem:

"Hi Norman,

The problem is that the missing trend lines are not within the x scale
you are currently displaying.

Because the series lines are on the secondary axis and you have not
supplied the range of secondary x axis values the chart is defaulting to
using 1,2,3,4,5,6...... for the category (X) values.
As the x axis is in fact dates the range of x values is 38497 to 38874.
If you use the same range reference for the secondary axis category as
the primary you trendlines will pop in to view. Use the Source Data
option when you right click the chart to change this.

You might want to look at this page which explains how to remove items
from the legend, which will save you having to build your own.

Thanks for replying. I deleted the chart and started over, and it worked.
So I don't know what the problem was on the original attempt.
