How do I plot values to match log scale on chart? Ron Hudson

Some of the lower values, the start and stop of the bars, are ok. Some
higher values which appear in higher decades do not match the chart values.
What is wrong and how should I fix it?

How do I plot values to match log scale on chart? Ron Hudson

Hi,

Possible answer - on a log scale the increments are not equal distance
apart. Therefore a value of 75 is not halfway between 50 and 100. This is
the correct.

Cheers,

Are you perhaps using a 3-D effect? If so, you can get a misleading
impression of the height of a column.

Hi Ron,

In some situations you can present your data better by converting
it to log values first and then plot it on a natural scale as opposed to the
normal way of plotting natural values on a log scale.

Just some food for thought

In stacked bars, each bar reaches to the sum of it and all previous bars. If
the two items in the stack are 2 and 3, the first bar goes to 2, the second
goes to 3 more than that, or 5.
