Pie Chart labels seem incorrect

I have a pie chart with data lables added, including the category, value and
percentage.
I want to format my lables so the value is displayed as a currency, and the
percentage as a regular percentage.
When I format the lable and set the number format to currency, Excel then
displays the value as a plain value but formats the percentage to become
currency.

e.g. At first the segment says "alice, 1, 17%", I change the number
formatting to currency and it becomes "alice, 1, £0.17".
I actually wanted it to be "alice, £1.00, 0.17%".

Is this the intended behaviour?

Pie Chart labels seem incorrect

If you format the cells in your data then this will copy to the chart. If
you try and change the format on the chart labels then I think only the last
part of the label will get formatted , in your case the % will change to £
