Don't. Find the relation between x and y in the spreadsheet cells
instead. Try the SLOPE() and INTERCEPT() functions, and read the help
files on the other functions available.

Use an XY (Scatter) chart type, not a Line chart type.

Click once on a data point to select the data series. Choose Chart | Add
Trendline, and select an appropriate linear or nonlinear relationship.
