Adding Gridlines to an XY Scatter Area Chart
 

I followed Jon's example on an XY Scatter Area Chart --
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/XYAreaChart.html, which worked
beautifully, however I would also like the gridlines to come across
the area chart. Is there any way to do this besides drawing the lines
on the graph by hand?

You've found that the area chart obscures the gridlines behind it. You can
add some dummy gridlines using error bars, following this procedu
