ODBC-Excel-HTML+DrillDown
I have some data in an ODBC-accessible database (PostgreSQL). I would
like to utilize Excel to generate pivot tables and charts with drill- down capability, and make these available with drill-down capability via HTTP. When I looked at this 7-8 years ago, it was somewhat possible but required installation of some MS web components, and did not work for non-MS browsers. What's the best way to do this in order to support IE+Firefox+Opera? What's the best way to do this if I only intend to support IE? TIA. Ed |

Hi
You can achieve this using Excel Service in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Excel Service is able to render spreadsheets for most browsers.
