Dynamic legend labels
Is there a way to automatically change the legend labels? I have pointed the
chart series name to a cell that changes depending on the data. These Label changes are actuall reflected in the series box within the source data dialog box, but this is not carrying over to the actual chart legend. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

If I right click a chart and use Source Data, I can see that a cell (let's
say B1) is used to name a series. The data is this cell is reflected in the legend. If I change B1's entry, then the legend changes. Tell us more about what happens with you. -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "Steve-in-austin" wrote in message ... Thanks Bernard, going into the chart and updating the source works but I was
trying to get the charts updated without touching them in order to make the worksheet "automatic and easy to use by others. The only thing I have come up with is a macro or make the legend entries somewhat generic. I am leaning toward the latter.
