Thanks Tushar,
I know how to link a text box to a cell, but I want to display a cell comment, not the actual contents of the cell. Also the data upon which the chart is based is growing with time (X axis), and I want the text box to remain anchored to the time of the data commented on; in other words, the text box would drift to the left as more data is added and the X-axis scale becomes smaller. Thanks... I cannot think of any non-programmatic way to connect a cell comment and a
chart element. Maybe, you can put the comments in some 'out of the way' column? As far as anchoring a textbox to a particular time goes, consider a datalabel instead. The contents of a data label can also be connected to a cell and the label will move with the data point. None of the options are ideal but they are the best we have... -- Tushar Mehta http://www.tushar-mehta.com Custom business solutions leveraging a multi-disciplinary approach In Excel 2007 double-click to format may not work; right click and select from the menu "saintalfonso" wrote: Thanks Tushar, I know how to link a text box to a cell, but I want to display a cell comment, not the actual contents of the cell. Thanks again. I'll give it a try; I hadn't thought of using a data label.
