Adding a second series to an existing chart

I have a very simple question, I would like to add a second series to an
existing chart, how is it done? (I am comparing accidents in 2006 and need a
series line for accidents in 2007)

Thank you,

David Biddulph

Adding a second series to an existing chart

Many ways to try, including:
Chart menu/ Add data
Chart menu/ Source Data/ Series/ Add
Copy your new series, & paste into the chart (and paste special gives you
the choice of new points or new series, together with various other
options).

Adding a second series to an existing chart

In XL2003 or earlier:
Select the data. Copy. Select the chart then Edit | Paste Special... In
the dialog box that pops up, provide XL the information it requires.

I'm a dunce! I didn't know that I could do that. You would not believe what
I went thru this morning to fix a typo that I made when setting up the
series. Amazing what you can learn if you're given more than an hour to
learn how to create charts.
