Question of bubble color
The Excel wizard automatically colors any bubble where the bubble size
reference data is negative as white. Is there a way to change the color of supposedly negative (white) bubbles to something else? I've tried a number of things with no success. This seems to be an automatic feature I can't turn off. Thanks -RA |
Question of bubble color
Hi Richard -
Apparently you can't change the negative bubble color. However, you can still make the negative bubbles a different color. Using a variation on my conditional charting technique: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...nalChart1.html make a second bubble size column with opposite values. For example, if the bubble sizes now are in D6:D18, enter =-D6 into cell E6, and fill this down to E18. Change the existing bubble series so it does not show negative bubbles. Add a new series (Chart menu Source Data Series tab), using the same X and Y data, and the new column for bubble sizes. This series also should not show negative bubbles, which were positive in the first series. Format the positive and negative series appropriately. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Richard" wrote in message ... Hi,
In xl2003 at least bubbles follow the same convoluted method for setting the negative color. http://www.andypope.info/charts/Invertneg.htm Cheers Andy Jon Peltier wrote: Hi Richard - Apparently you can't change the negative bubble color.
