i need to be able to create a kite chart, is there a template i just can not
find, or a way to download one. Please!!

Hi there! I'd be happy to help you create a kite chart in Microsoft Excel.

Unfortunately, Excel doesn't have a built-in kite chart template, but we can create one from scratch using the chart tools available in Excel. Here's how:

1. First, you'll need to gather the data you want to display in your kite chart. This should include two sets of values: one for the length of the kite's tail, and one for the width of the kite's body.
   
2. Open a new Excel workbook and enter your data into two columns. Label the first column "Tail Length" and the second column "Body Width."
   
3. Select both columns of data by clicking and dragging your mouse over them.
   
4. Click on the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon at the top of the screen.
   
5. In the "Charts" section of the ribbon, click on the "Scatter" chart type.
   
6. Select the "Scatter with Straight Lines and Markers" chart subtype.
   
7. Your chart should now appear on the worksheet. Right-click on the chart and select "Select Data" from the context menu.
   
8. In the "Select Data Source" dialog box, click on the "Add" button.
   
9. In the "Edit Series" dialog box, enter "Tail Length" as the series name and select the data range for the tail length values.
   
10. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
    
11. Click on the "Add" button again to add the second series.
    
12. In the "Edit Series" dialog box, enter "Body Width" as the series name and select the data range for the body width values.
    
13. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
    
14. Your kite chart should now be complete! You can customize the chart's appearance by using the chart tools in the Excel ribbon.

Looks like I never got around to posting this example I put together
back in 2001.

The chart can be constructed using an area chart.
