I'm having trouble with the custom bar and line chart.
I have an average and 3 sub groups for 3 years (X axis) The average and sub groups can share one axis. I want the average as a bar, the 3 subs as lines. All I can get currently is 2 bars and 2 lines - I cannot make the first sub group move from a bar to a liine presentation. How do I do this? Thanks |

It will help if you use the Excel terminology. If the bars are vertical,
it's a column chart. Forget the built in custom types. Make a line chart with all of your data. Select the series you want to change, go to Chart menu Chart Type, and select a column type. Voila, your first homemade combination chart! - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Diane @ UC Davis" <Diane @ UC wrote in message ...
