Default plot log-log with non power of 10 limits for x-axis

Excel should allow me to make a log-log plot with non power of 10 limits for
the X axis.

In engineering environments, especially when working in the frequency
domain, it is usefull to be able to plot someting like 20-2000 Hz in a
log-log plot. Having to choose a power of 10 is a waste of chart area.

Excel does not support log scales that do not terminate at powers of ten,
but you can fake it by transforming your data and building a fake axis.
Tushar Mehta shows how on his web site. Browse to http://tushar-mehta.com
and look for the Flexible Log Axis.

DPlot (http://www.dplot.com) will do what you want with a log scale. It
includes an Add-In for Excel that facilitates moving data from Excel to
a DPlot graph.
