how to move lines in conjunction with graphs

Hi, I've drawn a dotted line across my scatter graph but whenever i move
the graphs the dotted line stays in its original place. is there a way
to make the line part of the graph so that it resizes and moves in
conjunction with the graph?
Thanks

I assume you mean the line is derived from the Drawing tool bar. To have the
chart serve as the container for the line as opposed to the worksheet, first
activate the chart (the sizing handles should be visible). Then click the
line icon on the Drawing tool bar and click inside the chart. Drag until the
line is visible. You can now size and position the line as desired. After
unselecting the chart, if you move and/or resize it, the line should behave
as desired.

Greg

i tried that actually, but when i go to click inside the chart to draw
my graph the sizing handles automatically disappear. Whats happening
there and what am i doing wrong. I simply click on the chart to
activate it right?

It doesn't matter if the sizing handles disappear after clicking inside the
chart. If the chart was active when you clicked the line icon on the Drawing
tool bar then the chart should *own* the line instead of the worksheet after
placing it on the chart. Try it.

You could also add the line as another series in the chart. This will force
the line to move properly if the axis scale changes:
