Default Import Excel File to Contacts in Outlook

Just to clarify one thing I found out. In addition to the fact that you have
to create a named range if you want to import directlyl from an .xls file,
you must also have your headings matching the ones that the outlook Contacts
folder is searching for.

Examples:
First Name
Last Name
Home Street
Home City
Home State
Home Postal Code

I had put Home Address instead of Home Street so I was unable to see the
entire address in the "Address Cards" View. It frustrated me for awhile, but
I eventually figured it out by using the customer map option during the
import. It allowed me to see the names of each of the fields specifically.

I hope that wasn't too confusing!

Have a great day!

I think your post was clear.

My response was directed toward the importing of Excel data into MS Office
Outlook which is Office's email application.

What do you use MS Office Outlook for?

I apologize that my post was not clear. I am not referring to Outlook, the
email client. I want to import names, addresses, phone numbers into the
contacts section of Microsoft Office Outlook.

Thank you again for any help herein

.. .
In addition, if you give your data table in Excel a name through
InsertName
Define you can import directly from the Excel workbook.
