You should be able to replace the personal.xls you currently have into the
installation of XL2003. It will need to be copied away, just in case and
then moved into the XLStart folder of the new installation.

Toolbars attached to this or any workbook should be OK. If you have
customised toolbars in XL, these too can be saved by locating a file called
Excel.xlb. (It may have a slightly different name but will have an *.xlb
extension), move it away before installation and then replace the one that
XL installs

Old Excel files were transferred to another computer to be opened with
Excel
2003. In the old system, there were a number of relatively simple macros
that
were used on these files and were attached to a custom macro toolbar.
How do I make sure that these macros and the toolbar are also transferred
and functional in Excel 2003 without having to redo them. A number of them
are in the personal.xls file in the old system.
Thanks,
Kath
