Default Links broken after upgrade

xl2002+ likes to recalculate any workbooks that were created in previous
versions. In earlier versions of excel, if you answer No to the update links
prompt, the existing values are kept. In xl2002+, you get those errors.

Jim Rech posted a registry tweak:

Hi,

A client has reported the following problem: He works in a corporate
enviroment. They have recently upgraded from Office 2000 to 2003. He
has a lot of workbooks that pulls data from sheets in other books,
typically stored on a network server.

When he opens one of his workbooks, he's prompted if he wants to
update the links. Even if he clicks "Do not update", all the cells
shows just #ref.

Any ideas?
