Creating a Scatter Chart with Multiple Lines in Excel
- Open your Excel spreadsheet and select the data you want to use for your chart. Make sure you have all the data you need for each line in separate columns.
- Click on the "Insert" tab in the top menu bar and select "Scatter" from the "Charts" section.
- Choose the type of scatter chart you want to use. For multiple lines, you'll want to select the option that includes lines.
- Once you've selected your chart type, Excel will create a basic chart for you. Right-click on the chart and select "Select Data" from the drop-down menu.
- In the "Select Data Source" window, click on the "Add" button to add a new data series.
- In the "Edit Series" window, enter a name for your new data series and select the data range for the X and Y values. Repeat this step for each line you want to add to your chart.
- Once you've added all your data series, you can customize your chart by adding titles, labels, and adjusting the formatting to your liking.
- Finally, save your chart and you're done!
