Default The cursor on my Excel spreadsheet is not selecting cells.

If I open an existing spreadsheet and try to select a cell, the cursor
continues to select cells wherever the mouse is moved (without me holding
down the mouse key). It is also impossible to end the program even using
Ctrl+Alt+delete as it refuses to close.
I'm using Office 2000 Excel and have kept it up to date.

I've just upgraded my ZoneLabs Security Suite and wonder if that is what's
causing it. Any ideas?

Thanks, but F8 doesn't seem to work. Will look at the other suggestions and
see if anything else does.
