How do I cancel column & row highlight in Excel?

Default How do I cancel column & row highlight in Excel?

As I move the cursor around an Excel sheet, the column letter and row number
are highlighted which prevents me from sorting the data in the sheet. Any
ideas as to how cancel this in order that I am able to sort the whole text ??
