#,##0.00;[Red](#,##0.00

Select the cells you want this to happen to.
Format | Cells,
Pick either Number or Currency.
Then, you can set one of the red options.

If you want a color other than red, try a Custom Format. Something like:
#,##0_);[Blue](#,##0)
would work.
You can experiment a little to figure out what colors are available to you.
