Default I need to lock cell color, but allow text - how do I do this?

One row is blue
Next row is white
Third row is blue
etc...
How do I keep this format, but allow text to be written in these cells?

Use conditional formatting to color your rows. See
www.cpearson.com/excel/banding.htm for examples.
