If statement

Hi All

I have an IF statement for a list of dates. I want to a criteria that is
between 2 dates

If A1 is between 12.3.06 and the 15.3.06

I have tried various combinations and checked the help but the only one I
cant find is between

Can anyone help (it is Excel 2002)

any suggestions greatly appreciated
