Default Counting Full cells

Is there a function that will give a count of the number of cells in a range
that are occupied by a numeric value? Same question again but occupied by a
text value.

TIA for any assistance

Hi!

For numeric numbers:

=COUNT(A1:C10)

For text:

=COUNTIF(A1:C10,"*")
