Default HELP! Need to divide all columns by same number to get sell price

I have a net cost sheet. I want to divide each of the 7 columns (which each
have different values) by one number to get my sell price. When I looked at
the MOD function, it asked for the number in the cell and then my division
number. Do I have to do this manually for each cell or is there a way I can
do a formula applying division to each of cells at one time?

Thumbs up Answer: HELP! Need to divide all columns by same number to get sell price

  1. Select the first cell in the column where you want to apply the formula.
  2. Type in the formula that you want to use to divide the cell by the same number. For example, if you want to divide each cell in the column by 2, you would type "=A1/2" (assuming that the first cell in the column is A1).
  3. Press Enter to apply the formula to the first cell.
  4. Click on the cell that you just applied the formula to, and then click on the small square in the bottom right corner of the cell. This is called the fill handle.
  5. Drag the fill handle down to the last cell in the column where you want to apply the formula. This will automatically apply the formula to each cell in the column.

Alternatively, you can use the following steps to apply the formula to all 7 columns at once:

    1. Select the entire range of cells that you want to apply the formula to.
    2. Type in the formula that you want to use to divide the cells by the same number. For example, if you want to divide each cell in the range by 2, you would type "=A1/2" (assuming that the first cell in the range is A1).
    3. Press Ctrl+Enter to apply the formula to all of the selected cells at once.

suppose you want to divide all columns with 5.

1. Enter 5 in a different cell
2. copy the cell
3. Select the columns/values which are to be divided.
4. Right click-Paste Special.
5. Select 'divide' and OK/
