Default Excel 2007 and "Compatibility Mode"

Excel 2007. When I open workbooks I designed in Excel 2003, I notice that at
the top of the screen next to the file name it says "[Compatibility Mode]."
This is the least of the PROBLEMS I am now having with my workbooks in Excel
2007, but what does it mean and how can I get my workbooks into "normal" mode
rather than "compatibility" mode?

Compatibility mode means you're opening workbooks formatted for XL 2003. If
you want them formatted for XL 2007, save them as a separate workbook with
the XL 2007 file format.
