Default cell border in excel

How do I restore the normal grey cell border that appears when one opens a
new worksheet?

Go to "Tools", then "Options", under the view tab click on "Gridlines" then
ok.

Try this. on the menu bar click...
Toolsoptionsview tab. make sure the grid lines is checked.
