Renaming sheets with the same name after copying into a new workbo
I have an Excel sheet being used as an input form. Once this has been filled
out, I then click on a button and this copies the sheet into a Master File that will hold all the information from before. Unfortunately, due to this the sheet name is always the same and when copying with a macro it doesn't automatically increment the number. What I need is some code that will rename the sheet to Enquiry Log + todays date + an incremented number to differentiate between them. i.e. The sheet is called Enquiry Log. First time I copy it it should be renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 1. The second time I copy it, it should be placed after the last one and renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 2 etc If this is possible, ideally I would like like the following: One cell within the input sheet contains an answer to a question and I need the first character of this to be included as part of the sheet name. So, for example, the first sheet is filled in and the answer is A, so it will be renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 A 1. The second sheet is filled in with an answer A so this should be renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 A 2. The third sheet is filled in and the answer is B so this is renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 B 1. The fourth one is filled in with an answer of A so this will be renamed Enquiry Log 14-03-06 A 3 etc with each answer having it's own increment. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. cdb |
