Default change sheet tab color?

A user would like to change the background color of the sheet tab... the part
where the sheet name goes, where it says 'Sheet 1', 'Sheet 2', etc.

Is this possible in Excel? If so, how?

Thanks.

Excel 2002 onwards, not earlier versions, right click tab and select tab color

Thanks. We're currently using Excel 2000, so we're out of luck for that at
the moment.

The user used to do that back when we commonly used Lotus.

Thanks for the info.
