Default Print titles must be contiguous and complete rows or columns

I've built work books with different production information on different
sheets for different items. When I try to print the worksheets I get a
message that says
"Print titles must be contiguous and complete rows or columns" and the
worksheets will not print. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Thumbs up Answer: Print titles must be contiguous and complete rows or columns

The error message you are receiving is because Excel requires that print titles be contiguous and complete rows or columns. This means that the rows or columns you want to repeat on each printed page must be adjacent to each other and cannot have any breaks or gaps.

To fix this issue, you will need to adjust your print titles so that they meet these requirements. Here are the steps to do so:
  1. Open the worksheet you want to print and go to the Page Layout tab in the ribbon.
  2. Click on the Print Titles button in the Page Setup group.
  3. In the Page Setup dialog box that appears, go to the Sheet tab.
  4. In the Rows to repeat at top field, click on the Collapse Dialog button (the small icon to the right of the field).
  5. Select the rows you want to repeat on each printed page. Make sure they are contiguous and complete rows.
  6. Click on the Collapse Dialog button again to close the selection window.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for the Columns to repeat at left field if necessary.
  8. Click OK to save your changes and close the Page Setup dialog box.

Your print titles should now be contiguous and complete rows or columns, and you should be able to print your worksheet without any issues.

Sounds as if you have an incomplete row/column address in your print set up.
Click FILE on the menu and select PAGE SETUP. In the PAGE SETUP dialog box,
click the SHEET tab and clear or correct the addresses stated in ROWS TO
REPEAT AT TOP or COLUMNS TO REPEAT AT LEFT.

Kevin, that did it. Thanks for your help. One other weird thing it's doing
that you might be able to help me with is that when I print the combo boxes,
text boxes, and inserted images all get larger and print over other info when
I print. Any ideas on that?
Thanks,
William

Click VIEW in the menu, select TOOLBARS and then click CONTROL TOOLBOX.

The first button on the toolbar, the one with the pencil/ruler/triangle on
it, toggles desing mode on/off. Click this button to activate design mode.
Locate one of the errant combo/text boxes and right click on the control.
Select FORMAT CONTROL from the shortcut menu. Click the PROPERTIES TAB and
click the first option button so that the object moves and resizes with the
cell. Repeat as needed.

When done, turn design mode off and close the toolbar.
