Default How do I expand/stretch one cell in an Excel workshet.

I typed some text underneath the title of my worksheet. I want to be able to
view all of this text at one time. For some reason I cannot seem to be able
to do that.

I want to make A2 stretch across the page so all the text will show up. The
text doesn't even show up in Print Preview.

Thumbs up Answer: How do I expand/stretch one cell in an Excel workshet.

To expand or stretch a cell in Excel, you can follow these steps:
  1. Select the cell you want to stretch, in this case A2.
  2. Hover your mouse over the border of the cell until the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.
  3. Click and drag the border of the cell to the desired width. You can drag it all the way to the right to make it as wide as the column, or you can drag it to a specific width.
  4. Release the mouse button to set the new width.

If the text still doesn't fit after stretching the cell, you can try adjusting the font size or changing the orientation of the text. To change the font size, select the cell and use the font size dropdown in the Home tab of the ribbon. To change the orientation of the text, select the cell and use the orientation dropdown in the Alignment tab of the ribbon.

If the text still doesn't fit after trying these options, you may need to split it into multiple cells or use a smaller font size. It's also possible that there is a formatting issue or a hidden character causing the text to be cut off, so you may want to check for those as well.

Careful! ... After 5.0 that's been a *Merge* and center icon.
