Default formula

is it possible to have a formula apply to a row without copying it to other
cells
for instance is it possible to have everything in colum b divide by 40 with
one formula rather than cutting and pasting to every cell in colum b

Default formula

Couple of methods.

In C1 enter =B1/40

Double-click on the fill handle.......black square at bottom right corner of B1
to copy/increment down column C.

Second method................no formulas.

Enter 40 in an unused cell then EditCopy.

Select column B and EditPaste Special(in place)DivideOKEsc.

Clear the 40 from the cell.
