Default How do I fix invisible text in the formula bar?

I'm using Excel 2007. The issue is that text does not appear in the formula
bar. When I type something in the formula bar, it appears as normal, but
after moving to another cell and comming back the text is no longer appearing
in the formula bar. It still apears in the cell, but it is dificult to edit
when it wont apear in the bar as well.

One thing I noticed is that if I put a space in the front of the formula bar
after the text becomes invisible it will temporarily reapear, but only until
I leave the cell and come back again. I also tried changing the font color,
but that only changed the color of the font in the cell.

Has anyone experienced something similar or does anyone know a solution?
