Default "Share Workbook" grayed out / unavailable

But only when I have a list.

The help actually says to use lists when sharing a workbook to avoid
conflicts! Why doesn't this work?

From the "About resolving conflicting changes in shared workbooks:"

"To make entering lists easier, Excel allows more than one user to add data
to the row at the end of a list without triggering conflicts. "
