Default auto fill from moving data?

Im learning hope you can help

I need to work out how to take a daily changing number for 8 people,
and transfer it to a final chart. So far I add the data to a table by
name and total and “data sort” it by highest number to top and then
manually add the points valued to being in top or second or third..
What is my best way to auto mate this?

Name amount point
Bob 100,000 10
Luke 50,000 7
Stacey 25,000 6
Alan 1,000 5
John 900 4
Blah 500 3
2
1

This changes every day I have a fixed chart keeping score so the names
never change place, however this chart they do, bob might have 100,000
today but 900 tomorrow.
Is there a way of automating this ?
