Default how do i remove sort and see the original order of the data?

I have a simple 5 row chart that I sorted by date. Then it was saved. I
want to remove the sort and see the data in its original data entry order.
How do I return the data to the original state after its been saved with a
sort? I'm in Excel 2007.

Thumbs up Answer: how do i remove sort and see the original order of the data?

How to Remove Sort and See Original Order in Excel 2007
  1. Open the Excel file that contains the sorted data.
  2. Select the entire range of data that you want to unsort.
  3. Click on the "Data" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  4. Click on the "Sort" button in the "Sort & Filter" section of the ribbon.
  5. In the "Sort" dialog box that appears, click on the "Sort by" drop-down menu and select "Original Order" at the top of the list.
  6. Click on the "OK" button to remove the sort and return the data to its original order.

How to Add a Column for Original Order in Excel 2007
  1. Insert a new column to the left of your data.
  2. In the first cell of the new column, enter the number "1".
  3. In the cell below that, enter the formula "
    Formula:
    =A2+
" (assuming your data starts in cell A2).
  4. Copy the formula down the entire column to number each row in the original order.
  5. Now you can sort your data by date or any other column, but still see the original order in the new column you added.

I hope that helps!

Select the A1 cell. Then type the below keys in order and they will be
automatically get unsorted

ctrl, D, D

If above solution doesn't work then try the below

Ctrl+A, right click on the screen, click on unhide.

Excel doesn't store the original order, unless you still are able to undo the
action. Which can be done in xl2007 after a save is done.
